Maybe this is true if your reading from the future. I hope anyways.
What would it take to land the 30 goal sniper who seemingly wants out of Winnipeg?
I understand I’m wearing rose coloured glasses here but ya never know.
My EKane trade:
To WPG: Moen (50% retained), Desharnais, Tokarski, Bournival, 1st 2016
To MTL: Kane, Slater, 5th 2016
**I’m scared it might take Beaulieu or Tinordi instead of Bournival.
My Reasoning:
Tokarski is a cheap fallback for the sketchy Pavelec and Desharnais slots in as their number two centre behind Little. Moen adds add vet to the fourth line and Bournival could legitimately be a top 9 on that team.
Bournival and the 1st are really the only pieces that hurt, but players like Kane with a 5.25M cap hit are worth it. This would add another big winger to Montreal’s top six and Galchenyuk could finally move to centre permanently. The Habs would clearly have a sketchy cap situation with only a million or so to play with.
The only reason I think Winnipeg would ever do this is because Kane wants out.
