Black Pumas- Black Pumas

The first second I heard this song I knew I’d love the whole album. Love me some soul music. Great name too.

The Highwomen- The Highwomen

Listening to this album is like going to church. Much needed women super group that cover all kinds of genres, mostly country. I friggin love Brandi Carlisle so no surprise her supergroup is amazing.

Phoebe Bridgers & Conor Oberst- Better Oblivion Community Centre

This one grew on me. I got into Bridgers from Boygenius so this came from that connection. Cool, different vibes. Chill but harsh. Hard to explain.

The Black Keys- Let’s Rock

Vintage Black Keys. Simple riffs and great beats. This song makes me want to walk down the street super casually.

Leif Vollebekk- New Ways

Amazing song writer. Something about his music that hits me so hard. More poetic than anything else I listen too.

Gary Clark Jr.- The Land

Gary Clark Jr is the god damn man. One of my favorite artist ever. This album is so good. When I play guitar on Sunday’s, I’m 80% of the time, jamming to this album. This turned own version for Tiny Desk is incredible.

Michael Kiwanuka- Kiwanuka

Cool as dude. Vintage sound and songwriting. Meaning he writes songs for the song, not the playback. Slow intro’s, long songs. Love this album.

J.S. Ondara- Tales of America

Unique voice that struck me right away. Almost sounds fake is so pure.
