Costa Rica

Costa Rica is the place I dream about the most. It was such an amazing experience to be deep inside the jungle away from a lot of typical necessities.

We took this tiny little plane from San Jose to the west coast. It was small, I could touch the pilots shoulder and we were 2 of 3 people on the flight. Amazing views as we flew very low around the coast.

Once we got to Santa Teresa, our main form of transportation was a four wheeler which we used to go everywhere. It was weird at the beginning but became so normal. I tried surfing for the first time and absolutely loved it. It was so much harder than I anticipated and the ocean washed me around more than a few times.

The beaches. Oh my god the beaches. They are incredible. We saw horse casually strolling beaches on a daily basis. The water so warm and the jungle shoreline is the most beautiful thing you will ever see. Zip lining through a National Park was pretty spectacular and being a minority for the first time in my life was very interesting. Costa Rica is definitely a place I’ll go back to someday, hopefully sooner rather than later.
