2.  PUCK PROTECTION

3.  OFFENSIVE VISION

WEAKNESSES & AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT:

1.  SIZE AND STRENGTH

2.  BATTLES ALONG THE BOARDS

SKILL CATEGORY:

OFFENSIVE WINGER

SCOUTING REPORT:

ARCHAMBAULT HAS SHOWED FLASHES OF THE OFFENSIVE ABILITY THAT GOT HIM DRAFTED 1ST OVERALL IN THE QMJHL DRAFT TWO YEARS AGO. HE DOUBLED HIS PRODUCTION FROM LAST YEAR AND IS STARTING TO SHOW HIS OFFENSIVE POTENTIAL.

ARCHAMBAULT HAS SOME RAW OFFENSIVE SKILL BUT LACKS THE SIZE AND STRENGTH THAT MOST TEAMS WOULD HOPE TO SEE. HE PROTECTS THE PUCK WELL AND HIS LINE MATES PROSPER FROM HIS EXCEPTIONAL PLAYMAKING ABILITIES.  HE’S AN EXCELLENT SKATER WITH A HARD ACCURATE SHOT AND ABOVE AVERAGE HOCKEY SENSE.

HIS PHYSICAL MAKE UP LIMITS HIM AND MAKES HIM HESITATE ALONG THE BOARDS WHICH SETS OFF ALARM BELLS FOR HIS DEVELOPMENT GOING FORWARD. HE HAS THE OFFENSIVE ABILITY BUT HIS PHYSICAL MATURATION AND DEFENSIVE GAME ARE SIGNIFICANT QUESTION MARKS.

NHL POTENTIAL:

TOP NINE SCORING WINGER

PLAYER COMPARISON:

POOR MAN’S DANIEL BRIERE
